Well that took no time at all

One week.  That’s all it took.  The Pirates are in the midst of a 6-game losing streak and the Sox won a few, lost a couple to make them competitive in this two team race. Granted the Bosox were playing the Baltimore Shitrioles, but they did not have an easy time with them.  Boston’s problems are very far from over.  Pittsburgh, on the other hand, looks like their problems are just starting.  We’ll follow this head-to-head battle as the season goes on. You know what, let’s expand this thing.  Most of our readers (read: two) are from the DC/MD area, so inevitably, they must root for the Natinals (not a typo) and the Orioles.  Let’s include these guys in to the head-to-head-to-head-to-head competition as well.  Winner gets nothing. So far, 19 games in, the Nationals are the team with the bragging rights.

10-9 (.526)(Third in NL East)
8-11 (.421)(Fourth in AL East)
7-11 (.389)(Last in NL Central)
3-16 (.158)(Last in AL East)
