We've finally made it to the end.

In one of the most stunning upsets in tournament history, the #3 seeded Blues Brothers have slain The Sandlot and won this year’s Madness Invitational.
There was no doubt before this tournament started that “It’s Dark and We’re Wearing Sunglasses” was a strong contender. And the fact that it has now been proven to be the greatest movie quote ever seems very fitting.
We've had quite a bit of back and forth on the almighty kickball listserve*. It seems that most ladies sided with Ham Porter, while the fellas went for the boys in blue. One guy even said that since two people were involved, it couldn't be counted as a quote (bullshit, we say).
*This was after discussions about Pogs, free condoms, and Aladdin. Let me know if you want included!
A lot of our lines have been overused. Anchorman, The Sandlot, Dumb and Dumber. Hell, I’ve probably used a line from each already today. But The Blues Brothers is a tougher reference. Most people screw it up anyways. But most importantly, when you watch it for the 40,000th time, you still laugh...
So congrats, Jake and Elwood. You were on a mission from God. And the Penguin thanks you.
