Sonofabitch. Well Lindsey Jacobellis shat the bed again for America. She got her ass DQed because she hit a damn gate. That and we have no chance whatsoever in biathlon and all the other events for medals today. But at least our men's and women's hockey teams won. Men beat the Swiss 3-1 and the women beat the Ruskies 1-2. Wait that doesn't make sense, hold on. Ohhhh, ok, my bad. The women didn't beat the Russians 1-2. They beat them 12-0. I was close. The Russians were not.
In other news, the Hokies beat Wake Forest (Ranked 25th!) at home 87-83. Boo yah bitches. If we don't make the NCAA tourney, I say we go all West Virginia on the NCAA and burn the shit out of their "couches". Interpret that as you will.
So as we end the day in Olympics competition, we lose the top medals place to zee Germans, who haf veys uff making us talk. Hopefully tomorrow, we take that right back. Our best hopes are the women's downhill (Vonn, Mancuso, McKennis, and Cook) and men's halfpipe snowboard (US men are predicted/expected to fill the podium). We'll see how it turns out.
