Yep, we just lost, at home on a Thursday night, to a team who had previously not beaten an ACC opponent. You weren't having a nightmare. Maybe it was the fumble by Ryan Williams on our own 25 yard line with 3 minutes left in the game. Was is the sieve that was our defense in the second half, or maybe, was it the fact that we did not score a fucking single point in the first half? I'm going to go with the last one. Why? Because if our offense wasn't back to it's normally pathetic self and actually converted a third down, we would at the very least, have been in the position to have UNC make that last second field goal to force overtime, rather than beat us, at home, on a Thursday night.
Some might say that it is our defense that failed us again (just like last game), but I submit a different culprit. How about our offense? We have now scored a mind boggling 3 whole points TOTAL in the first half of each of the last two games. THREE FUCKING POINTS! In each case, had we scored any more points in either of those halves, we would have won the game. One of them being AT HOME ON A THURDAY NIGHT.
I ask this of you: Is this enough? Are you entertained? What else needs to be proven besides the fact that our Offensive Coordinator is not good enough? He has handcuffed our offense so that we have to battle back and score all of our points in the second half. Let me say this as clearly as possible: You cannot win games in the second half alone. You have to have complete games to win no matter who the opponent may be. Georgia Tech might have been a good team, but we also just lost to UNC AT HOME ON A THURSDAY NIGHT.
I can't say anymore right now, I'm way too fucking pissed at the shitty play our offense has vomitted out these last two games. To be honest, at this point, I hope that we lose the rest of the games this season so that Frank can't fall back on his "ten win season" argument and get rid of the fucking dead weight. Ok, so I don't hope we lose the rest of the games, but it has now gotten to a point where our defense can't bail our offense out anymore, and eventually our defense is going to be on the field just long enough for some very important player to get hurt and significantly impact our defense as a whole.
So the answer to this is to save us all the fucking excuses and arguments, stop blaming the players who make insignificant individual mistakes, and cut the fat. Cut the fucking fat.
Oh, by the way, we had 95 fucking rushing yards. 95 fucking rushing yards! I am fucking speechless.
Watch us drop out of the rankings on Sunday. We have now gone from 4 to NR in less than two weeks. That has to be a record or something.
