We haven't really talked about hockey lately, mainly because we're in the midst of a very important college football season, but this little nugget just needs to see the light of day.

-----------

Well other than on Deadspin.

For those of you who don't know who Don Cherry is, he is, well, the original Barry Melrose.  For those of you who don't know who Barry Melrose is, then fuck you.

Don Cherry is known in the US, but revered in the Great White North.  He played in the NHL for one game, with the Bruins, and then coached them for a bunch of years.  He played hockey more frequently in the other leagues around North America like the WHL, AHL, and OHA.  But the thing he is most known for is his badass clothes.  This is what the Kingston Frontenacs decided to utilize to pay tribute to Cherry.  Through jerseys.  Se banner picture.

Just for a little perspective to all those who thought Barry Melrose dressed flamboyantly, you're wrong.  This is fucking double-breasted flamboyant.  It puts The Birdcage to shame.
